Born In Wales aims to develop the evidence base to understand the current influences on family health and well-being and how these affect subsequent childhood health and education. This work can be used to design and inform policies supporting changes to improve the health and well-being of families, particularly those considered more vulnerable.

This research enables a better understanding of the issues facing families growing up in Wales to identify the most important issues needing addressing. Gaining this understanding means that this research can inform policy and practice to better direct support to improve the lives of families growing up in Wales with long-term effects on future outcomes. We’re pleased to be helping aid in building this cohort with a similar ethos that can help improve the health and wellbeing of children in Wales. As part of Born in Wales, this year we will be launching our nursery network. If your school has a nursery, we’d love to hear from you. We are asking parents with children in nursery to complete our short online survey. The survey includes questions about you and your child’s health, well-being and development. You can find more information about the nursery network and take part here.
