Workshops:

Key Stage 2 (ages 9-10 years old):
 Smoking & Alcohol: The effects of smoking and alcohol
 Emotions and substances KS2: boosting emotional literacy, identifying helpful &
unhelpful behaviours
 What is a Drug: identifying feelings, consequences / risks of drug use, reasons and
alternatives
 PARENTS: awareness session / how to talk to young people about substances
If you would like to discuss the tailoring or creation of new workshops to meet your groups
need please do not hesitate to contact us.
Information Stalls:
The Place can also facilitate interactive information stalls for community events, college or
university fresher’s fares on request.
Assemblies:
Assemblies promoting the one to one support element of Choices work and stimulating
discussion around substance misuse topics are also available on request.
Staff / Parent & Carer Briefings and Workshops:
Choices can also facilitate staff briefings, parent/carer information sessions and workshops
for those who work with young people on a range of subjects. Please contact us to find out
more.
Please Note: in order to ensure that the session’s aims are met effectively and learners are
able to reflect and participate fully, Choices staff will require access to the space in which
delivery is to take place.
If the start of the session is delayed by more than 15 minutes the staff delivering the session
reserve the right to either:
-Cancel the session and re-arrange a new date
-To deliver a revised session
