Project aim
To reduce child tooth decay rates in Wales and promote healthy eating.
What does the project entail?
Pupils with consent take part in supervised tooth brushing, once during the school day. Also
carried out on the school premises is topical fluoride application a non-invasive prevention
treatment.
The team provides dental health education sessions and teaching resources e.g. Age related
PowerPoint presentations, mouth models, work sheets, puppets, healthy eating chef
What is required from the School?
Classroom with PowerPoint facility
How do the pupils directly benefit?
Curriculum links at key stage 2 to PSHE as well as literacy and numeracy through worksheets
and presentations.
