               - Become 'school sport reporters' showcasing the good work they are doing

               - Promote sport within the school via newsletters and film

               - Support older leaders to deliver sessions in schools and communities

               - Present results of School Sport Survey to rest of school

               Bronze Young Ambassadors are provided with training from the AYP team, there are two
               training opportunities per year in which pupils will gain a Young Sports Leaders qualification.


                 What is required from the School?


               - Arrange a meeting with the Active Young People team

               - Attendance at BYA training

               - Commitment to the physical literacy philosophy and improving the quality of extra-
               curricular sport and physical activity.

               - Commitment to provide information on sport and physical activity within the school to the
               AYP team, this information is valuable for future development of the programme and
               identify best practice to share amongst schools.


                 How do the pupils directly benefit?


               The young people
               - Taking part in lots of physical activities develops a child’s physical, cognitive, and social
               skills, impacting positively on their health and wellbeing. These programmes can help make
               a huge difference in starting them off and supporting them on their journey. Physical
               Literacy is therefore as important as numeracy and literacy.

               Physical skill + Confidence + Motivation + Lots of Opportunities = Physical Literacy

               - Opportunity for pupils to attend Dragon Sport festivals

               - Signpost pupils to local activities (School – club link) and ensure lifelong participation

               - Provide early leadership opportunities for pupils

               - Support and guidance in the delivery of extra-curricular activities

               - Training opportunities for staff and volunteers

               - Access to equipment to aid activity within the school

               - Access to a library of resources
               - Evidence to support school commitment to health and well being
